Offices need horizontal power and data/communications. Conference tables and study carrels call for simple methods. While most situations call for Dual/Back To Back access, Single/Frontal access covers the needs of desks and executive workstations. Desk systems, wall partitions, and systems furniture require more sophisticated methods.

Access needs to be concealed but easily accessible. Cords and cables may rest on the surface, cross any edge, pass though a grommet to beneath the surface, or be neatly hidden in accessible “garages.” How could one product answer all these callings? One can’t, but the MOD™ Module family can! MOD™ Module transforms from a simple plug strip up to a potent 8-circuit, 14-wire system!

Power cables must be separated from data and communications cables, as dictated by code and physics. MOD™ Module provides several solutions, flexible to needs and desires!

Frontal/Single side access power may present DataCom™ in a separate J-Channel™. It is, however, possible to present power and DataCom™ in the same power assembly. An internal divider is required. To maintain ability to change DataCom ™ connectors, a side-by-side or stacked method is employed.

Twin J-Channel™ provides power and data/communications to the same side. Or, one side can be used for power, the other for data/communications. Stacking or placing two MOD™ Modules side-by-side or back to back are also options.

MOD™ Module Surface Metal Raceway can be connected to building power in several ways:

  1. It can plug into a standard wall receptacle for a single circuit,
  2. It can plug into a 240 V twist lock receptacle for two circuits,
  3. It can be hardwired directly to a panel box for virtually unlimited circuits,
  4. It can be fitted with a special connector to plug directly into existing electrical systems.
